Gandikota Heritage Trekking & Training -2024 (By Andhra Pradesh State)
BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM: Gandikota is a village and historical fort on the
right bank of the Penna River. The fort of Gandikota acquired its name due to
the ‘gorge’ formed between the Erramala range of hills, also known as Gandikota
Hills and the river Penna that flows as its foot. As per records of Gandikota
is build by Kakaraju at 1123 A D. Gandikota is called Indian Grand Canyon.
PURPOSE: - Purpose
of the trekking expedition is to promote ECO & ADVENTURE TOURISM
in
the Eastern Ghats region, with greater adventure and sense of love for Nature,
Aiming at promotion of National Integration.
DAY WISE SCHEDULE:
1. Day One (24.11.2024) Sunday: - Report at Base. (AP Tourism Hotel, Gandikota.)
Before 12PM. After lunch, trek to Sunset Point.
2. Day Two (25.11.2024) Monday:- Early Moring 5.30am trek to Sunrise Point (Indian Grand Canyon) and return to Base camp. After breakfast Trek and site seeing to Gandikota Historical site. (Afternoon Lunch pack will provide at the time of trek).
3. Day Three (26-11-2024) Sunday:- Early Morning 5.30am trek to another Sunrise Point and return to base camp After Breakfast Trek to Serenity Waterfalls. Return to Base camp after lunch Trek End.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? It’s a moderate Trek, all age groups who crossed 12 years may
participate, and there is leisure time for middle age and family
HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP: Gandikota was located at 15km from Jammalamadugu, Muddanur to
Gandikota 30km, Yerraguntla to Gandikota 50km, Kadapa to Gandikota 85km in
Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh.

Medical Aid Adequate Medical Aid is kept at various camps. However you are advised to bring your personal Medical Kit to meet emergencies.
SAFETY & SECURITY: Extensive and pains taking preparation has gone into the planning of the Trek route. Our experienced field staff and camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all the details. While every care has been taken to ensure your safety & health, the YHAI, AP State Branch

CANCELLATION RULES: In case you are unable to join the trek after paying the participation fee, you will get a refund of Rs 2,600- provided your written request is received directly in the office of YHAI Andhra Pradesh State Branch or by
Email to “apstateyhai@gmail.com” on or before 5th November 2023 before 5.30pm. No refund will however, be admissible for
Cancellations received after 5th Nov 2024. SMS/ Phone calls or What’s App shall not be considered for cancellation.
